RackGuide is a curated guide to the tools that keep mid-size companies running: monitoring and observability, log management and SIEM, firewalls, endpoint management, backup, service desk, identity, and network gear.

It's put together by an IT infrastructure practitioner who has run monitoring platforms, led firewall migrations and network refreshes, and worked through M&A carve-outs and transition service agreements. The goal is simple: a short, practical list you can scan before a vendor evaluation — not an endless catalog.

Entries stick to verifiable facts: what the tool is, who it suits, and a link to the vendor. Pricing is listed only when it's published on the vendor's own site. There are no invented ratings or reviews.
